Dental Services
We will check your pet’s mouth and teeth as part of every physical examination that we do. We monitor for the development of tartar, gingivitis and injured teeth.
As your pet gets older and tartar begins to accumulate, we will recommend a dental cleaning. This includes a full ultrasonic scaling and polishing followed by chlorhexidine mouth rinse.
Your pet will need to be anesthetized for this procedure to allow us to be thorough and complete. We may recommend pre-anesthetic blood work beforehand to make sure he or she can tolerate the anesthetic drugs.
Some animals need dental cleanings on a regular basis. Please ask us if you have questions regarding your pet’s mouth, we will be happy to take a look and give you an estimate for any treatment that we recommend.
